Don’t miss these wonderful performances!

The arts bring to our lives expressions, interpretations, and experiences that enable us to examine our humanity and to reflect on the very essence of what it means to be part of a global community. Right now, we need the power of the arts more than ever.

As dean of the College of Arts and Architecture, I am thrilled to announce several of our incredible performing arts students and alumni have created an uplifting and much-needed virtual celebration that showcases the very best of what we do and who we are. This multi-day virtual event called “Penn State Presents: A Virtual Performing Arts Celebration,” consists of live, 15-minute vignettes featuring renowned performers including Caroline Bowman, who currently stars as “Elsa” in the national tour of Disney’s “Frozen,” and Joonas Suotamo, who captured the hearts of Star War fans as Chewbacca. They will be joined by students, alumni, and additional special guests and stars each night.

The performances can be viewed at PennStatePresents.psu.edu at 7 p.m. EDT each night, beginning Thursday, April 9, and continuing through Sunday, April 12.

Thank you for all you are doing to reduce the spread of COVID-19 and to stay healthy.

We hope these performances from the students and alumni from Penn State’s School of Theatre and School of Music will bring joy and light to you, wherever you are. Enjoy with our best wishes!
