Food Drive Competition
PSU alumni and Wisconsin alumni are asked to bring foods and personal care necessities. Let’s see which team brings the most items!

Requested items are:

  • peanut butter
  • canned vegetables and fruit
  • canned beans
  • canned soup or stew
  • canned fish
  • pasta (esp. whole grain)
  • personal care items: soap, shampoo, deodorant, & Kleenex

Please be advised that the university has asked that masks be worn indoors, regardless of vaccination status.

Update on the Food Drive Competition

On September 4, 2021, the Wisconsin Club of Columbus & the Central Ohio Chapter of the Penn State Alumni Association met for a joint game watch. The Badger & Nittany Lion alums who attended the event were asked to bring items for the benefit of the Mid Ohio Food Bank. It was a great game & went right down to the wire, with the Nittany Lions a winning a close game. But the real winner was the Mid Ohio Food Bank. Both Alumni Clubs collected 144 item of food & personal care items. Some of the items collected included the following:

  • 22 packages of pasta
  • 10 cans of soup
  • 43 cans of vegetables
  • 11 cans of tuna
  • 15 tooth brushes & toothpaste
  • 7 jars of peanut butter
  • 9 bottles of shampoo & body wash
  • 6 cans of fruit
  • 7 bars of soap
  • 4 deodorant sticks

The Wisconsin Club of Columbus & the Central Ohio Chapter PSAA alums are proud to be a part of the Central Ohio Community & take pride in helping the Mid Ohio Food Bank.
