
Pictured on the left is Kaylee Smith, North Union High School’s 2021 Valedictorian, receiving a $2500 award. She will be attending the University Park campus where she will study Biological Engineering. Kaylee is the daughter of Anthony and Julie Smith. She was a member of the North Union Future Farmers of America team that won the 2019 National Agronomy event. She placed 1st in the state and 3rd in the nation for the individual portion of the event. Kaylee was captain of the Cross Country team and a varsity member of the Track & Field and Bowling teams.
Garrett Cox, a 2021 graduate of Pickerington High School North, is receiving a $1000 award. He will be attending University Park campus where he will study Computer Science. Garrett is the son of Michael and Lynette Cox. He was one of the Pickerington North Decem Decori (Top 10). In Business Professionals of America competitions, he was a member of the National Champion Web Application team, which also received Best in Show. The team placed 2nd in the state and 8th nationally for Fundamentals of Web Design. Garrett is a member of the National Honor Society and an Eagle Scout.
Abby Lanker, a 2021 graduate of Worthington Christian High School, is receiving a $500 award. She will be attending the Behrend campus in Erie, PA where she will pursue a Pre-Med program. Abby is the daughter of Jon and Stacey Lanker. She volunteered at the Worthington Christian Village Senior Care facility and with Run for the Health of It. She was a Biology teacher’s assistant and has completed several AP and College Credit Plus Courses. Abby was the Softball team captain, Bowling team captain, and member of the First Team Mid-State League Softball team.
