Each summer, the Ingram Spirit Award Scholarship Board has the privilege of recognizing outstanding central Ohio students as they begin their Penn State journey. This year’s applicants impressed us with their achievements and commitment to making a difference in their communities. Selecting our scholarship recipients from several exceptional applicants is always a difficult task. This year, we are proud to introduce the 2026 Franklyn C. Ingram Spirit Award Scholarship winners, Ash Kemp and Audrey Bremer!
Ash graduated a year early from Gahanna Lincoln High School then studied abroad in Spain for a year. She is pursuing a Nursing degree at University Park.
Ash is the daughter of Beth Kemp. She has already received her Certified Nursing Aide license (CNA) and Basic Life Support certificate. She was the secretary for the high school Spanish Honors Society and received numerous academic achievement awards. Ash looks forward to using her language skills as a trauma nurse to help as many people as possible in critical situations.
Audrey graduated Magna Cum Laude from Upper Arlington High School. She will be pursuing a degree in Forensic Science at University Park campus.
Audrey is the daughter of Abby and Ben Bremer. She was the President and Co-founder of Women in STEM at UAHS. She has been inducted into both the National Honors Society and the Science National Honors Society. In addition to her academic success, she lettered in varsity softball 3 years and held part-time jobs. Audrey intends to work in criminal investigations to deliver justice to crime victims and their families.
