The Central Ohio Chapter, and all Alumni Association Chapters, are run by Alumni volunteers. We are always looking for area Alumni who want to keep the Penn State spirit alive!

Turn Your Penn State Pride Into Life-Saving Action with the “We Give Blood” Competition, sponsored by Abbott Labs.
This season, the fierce rivalries of the Big Ten are moving off the field and into local donation centers to help tackle the ongoing national blood shortage. Abbott and the Big Ten Conference have teamed up for the nationwide “We Give Blood” drive, giving students, alumni, and fans an incredible opportunity to make a tangible impact. By rolling up your sleeves and donating blood at any local center or blood drive, you can help save lives while directly supporting Penn State on the conference leaderboard.
Participating is easy: simply make a blood donation by Dec. 4th, then visit BigTen.org/Abbott (or text GIVEBLOOD to 222688) to submit your proof of donation, claim a limited-edition team T-shirt, and credit your contribution to Penn State. The university that logs the most donations will be awarded a grand prize $1 million grant from Abbott to advance student or community health initiatives. Let’s show the rest of the conference the strength of the Penn State community—schedule your donation today and help us climb to the top of the leaderboard!

Our Penn State Nittany Lions will travel to Ann Arbor October 17th to take the Wolverines. The Central Ohio Alumni from both schools will meet at the Crooked Can in Hilliard for our own competition.
Join us to watch the game and compete in a food drive to support a local food bank!

Each summer, the Ingram Spirit Award Scholarship Board has the privilege of recognizing outstanding central Ohio students as they begin their Penn State journey. This year’s applicants impressed us with their achievements and commitment to making a difference in their communities. Selecting our scholarship recipients from several exceptional applicants is always a difficult task. This year, we are proud to introduce the 2026 Franklyn C. Ingram Spirit Award Scholarship winners, Ash Kemp and Audrey Bremer!
Ash graduated a year early from Gahanna Lincoln High School then studied abroad in Spain for a year. She is pursuing a Nursing degree at University Park.
Ash is the daughter of Beth Kemp. She has already received her Certified Nursing Aide license (CNA) and Basic Life Support certificate. She was the secretary for the high school Spanish Honors Society and received numerous academic achievement awards. Ash looks forward to using her language skills as a trauma nurse to help as many people as possible in critical situations.
Audrey graduated Magna Cum Laude from Upper Arlington High School. She will be pursuing a degree in Forensic Science at University Park campus.
Audrey is the daughter of Abby and Ben Bremer. She was the President and Co-founder of Women in STEM at UAHS. She has been inducted into both the National Honors Society and the Science National Honors Society. In addition to her academic success, she lettered in varsity softball 3 years and held part-time jobs. Audrey intends to work in criminal investigations to deliver justice to crime victims and their families.

The Chapter’s student send-off will be an Ice Cream Social at Pizza Cottage and Tipton Tavern!
Join us August 9th from noon to 2pm to show our support for the future Alumni. The Chapter will provide pizza and Creamery ice cream!

Welcome PSAA Central Ohio members to the first annual Stepping into Summer Challenge!
We will be competing against the PSAA Dayton and PSAA Northwest Ohio chapters for ultimate bragging rights. The goal of this challenge is to rack up as many steps as possible between June 16th and June 30th in order to win the first annual Stepping into Summer Challenge. We want you to be healthy, have fun, & show your Penn State Pride.
Not into running? No problem! We’ll use a conversion factor to turn your biking, swimming, walking, and even yoga into steps that are fair for everyone. Have a new activity you want to add? Let us know and we’ll give you steps towards it!
Steps can be logged in the Strava app. You can record via your smart watch or manually log your activities. There will also be 4 mini-challenges throughout the competition. Be sure to keep up with social media and the Strava app so you don’t forget!
